you’re getting your teeth extracted because you don’t have enough room to properly aligned your teeth.
After the treatment, the braces will shift your teeth in a symmetrical alignment .
It is common practice to have several teeth extracted prior to having orthodontic treatment. This is to make room so the teeth can be moved into their correct position. You may also have an appliance placed, a palatal expander which works to widen the arch adding additional space so the teeth can be shifted into their corrected alignment. Discuss any questions or concerns with your orthodontist, he will be more than happy to review your treatment plan in greater detail and provide x rays, models of teeth and the different appliances, which will make it so much easier for you to understand the “what’s and whys.” Good luck with your treatment, you will be amazed at the difference when your finished.
