@ShadowsUnderEarth if you’re working out, not true. the body has a much harder time actually absorbing protein in red meat than it does a high quality whey protein powder. if you eat a steak, the body can take in a portion of that protein. most people i know take protein supplements along with good quality organic whole foods. watch the chlorestal in eggs and shellfish. low fat yogurt and cottage cheese is great. again, this is if you’re working out. if not, only supplement with a protein bar.

@TheBearHHH not in a steak, for the average person. it can and will utilize protein when taken in powder form though after a solid workout. after a workout, your muscles are begging for nutrients. screaming and crying for protein and all sorts of vitamins. this is key to building lean muscle, one hour window of opportunity to get it in you quickly.

@optical76 I take a fat burning/protein dietary pill 30 minutes prior to my workout, then after working for 2 hours or so, I take like 3 scoops of protein powder Vanilla flavor, take that right after my workout, then I’ll have a steak for lunch, or Shrimp which is another great source of protein, for snacks I’ll have roasted almonds but not much because they’re “roasted” but that’s not everyday I do it like every other day! Like you said your body can only take in so much protein!

@foxwright haha well then those people are ignorant and foolish. you need to build muscle to burn fat. popping a pill wont do anything for them. most of america is not that fat. buy yeah, america has lots of fat people. too many fast food places. but it depends on where you live too. west coast has lots of very fit population. midwest has average, midwest inner city bad neighborhoods has the most obese. straight up blobs.

@TheDietSolution that is so wrong. “no powder can take the place of protein from whole food sources.” high quality powders are better for you than eating red meat, eggs, cheese, chicken, fish…every meal. a person trying to get lean and build muscle needs to consume tons of protein a day. i weigh 170 and i need to consume about 150g of protein a day. impossible with whole food sources, and expensive. i’d bloat up like a dead cow if i ate beef all day. maybe do a lil research.

@optical76 no. bcuz fat does not turn into muscle. you could not eat and loose weight . . that doesnt mean youll gain muscle. and your theory on fat ppl location is verrryyy false. fat ppl are everywhere and you cant say a side of the country is fatter than the other with no citation of information. i know america is fucking fat bcuz im surrounded by fucking lazy fools that dont know the meaning of work. go away. i still want to be your freind.

@foxwright true, fat does not turn into muscle. i said muscle burns fat. muscle helps burn calories. bigger muscles means more calories burned. its exponential. that’s 101. if you starve yourself, you’ll loose muscle as well as fat. and its not my theory on fat percentages in America. its a national study. go to states like AZ, NV, FL, CA and you’ll see way more fit people. go to the slums of Chicago, 70% are severely obese. Mississippi is the fattest state by far. Colorado is the leanest.
