Question : How do I get out of my apartment lease? I no longer feel safe here!?
My car got broken into and my medical equipment for work and many other of my posessions were stolen. What rights do I have? Does anyone have a letter that I can use to get out of my lease?

Unless management was negligent, you are obligated to honor your lease.

How do you get out of your apartment lease? Pay for the entire remaining term of your lease.

What rights do you have? As far breaking the lease without penalty, you have none

Sorry but just because your car was broken into doesn’t give you grounds to break your lease.

A letter? You may be able to buy yourself out, but this has no bearing on your lease at all.

You should try saying you dont feel comfortable staying there speak to the manager/owner about your concerns. Good luck I know if the neighborhood is bad the owner may have a hard time renting the place so they may make you stay til the end of the lease.

read your lease. Sometimes you can let them know you want to move and they can out the apartment up for rent. You would be responsible for the rent until they find another tenant though. Who knows maybe they already have a waiting list and may not have a problem. The worst they can say is no
