Question : Guys, would you still like a girl with heavy orthodontia work?
Note: This isn’t “Super Answerer” asking this question, this is her friend, but I don’t have a Yahoo account, so I’m just asking on this, and will pick a best answer from her account. Okay? Alright, let’s get started….

I recently got the dreaded Herbst device, and it makes my face look bulgy. If you know about the Herbst, you know it has litttle ball type things that make your cheeks stick out. It makes my face very round from my nose down. Also, there are metal crowns that go over my molors [one on the bottom left & right, and one on the top left & right], and those can be seen when I talk. Basically, I really do have a mouth full of metal. And when I smile, I have to put my bottom teeth directly below the top teeth, so my smile is pretty big now. The minimum I’ll have this is 9 months. I’m going into 8th grade.

My question is, guys, if you liked a girl before she had all this metal in, would you still like her afterward?
To understand what I’m going through, put your bottom teeth directly below the top teeth so they are nearly touching. Now imagine that a bulky metal device is holding your teeth in place. You can’t move your teeth side to side at all, only up and down and out.

So that’s what I have for nine months.

If she is great before the braces , she will be great after she gets them……and if the dont like you after you do get them, then they arent worth worrying over……. get new friends……..
