Review by B. Franke for Freedom Alert Personal 911 Emergency Response System
Rating:
This unit is extremely well thought out. It’s designed for every situation that might come up. I have my father wearing the radio unit on a lanyard and if he ever gets in trouble all he has to do is push a button to to call my brother (who lives closest). If my brother isn’t home, or if his answering machine answers it will still go on to my number that is programmed in. It will do up to 4 numbers and then 911 if you want it to. You can easily check range and battery condition with the push of a button. It has two sets of batteries and a charger in the base unit. My only complaint is the range. My parents have about two acres and there are some areas it won’t cover. If you have a half acre or so it should work well as long as there aren’t too many walls in-between. The really good thing about it is that we have two-way communication between Dad and ourselves without having to pay a monthly service fee. The radio unit is larger than some of the pendant kind, but not too bad. The battery is holding up well. We haven’t changed it yet in about a month and a half of use.
