Do you think that someone who use to be obese, can make a great dietitian?
Question : Do you think that someone who use to be obese, can make a great dietitian?
I use to be over 340 lbs. I’ve loved food all of my life! But I got tired of being obese, so I changed my diet drastically, exercised, and dropped 185 lbs in a year. I’m feeling fantastic. I took courses at the local college to become a personal trainer, and I became certified in April of this year. I’ve also taken a distance education to become a certified nutritional consultant. Currently, I’m working at Gold’s Gym as a personal trainer.I’ve become very health wise, and I’m helping others achieve their goals one at a time. I often have people say to me, “Oh your so fit, you don’t know what it’s like to be over weight. And I just show them my photo album of my own success. I tell them If I can do it one pound at a time, so can they.”
I now want to go to college to be a dietitian. I know it’s a great goal. Do you think someone who use to be obese, can make a great dietitian? Please no rude answers. Thanks.

I think you would be a better dietitian than someone who has never been there. You’re more passionate about it naturally:) And good for you on the weight loss!!!
