I was so emo during this I didn’t say everything I should have. Like..for instance… When you lose a loved one, it always helps to find positive ways to remember them or memorialize them in some way. Adam (as well as all the rest of us kids) was a big band geek. We still help out with the band during football / marching season. My family has set up a Memorial Fund at our bank and we use the money in it to give a scholarship to graduates from Marianna High School band that plan to major in Music Education. Recognize your own feelings about the situation and talk to others about your fears. Know that these feelings are a normal response to an abnormal situation. 2. Be willing to listen to family and friends who have been affected and encourage them to seek counseling if necessary. 3. Be patient with people; fuses are short when dealing with crises and others may be feeling as much stress as you. 4. Recognize normal crises reactions, such as sleep
