December 2006 (Medialink) — The deadline is looming for seniors to take action about their Medicare prescription drug plans. Open enrollment for 2007 coverage ends December 31. Medicare beneficiaries who have not yet signed up for the drug benefit can do so, and current enrollees can change to a new drug plan if they find one that better suits their needs. This PSA features former Senator John Breaux advising seniors about Medicare. For more information, call 1-800-MEDICARE or go to www.medicare.gov. This video is provided courtesy of the Medicare Rx Education Network. The Medicare Rx Education Network is a non-partisan coalition of 83 major national organizations (including AARP and the AMA) who have come together to educate Medicare beneficiaries about the Part D prescription drug benefit. The Network is chaired by former Senator John Breaux. ——————————————————————————– Produced for the Medicare Rx Education Network
Never get insurance advice from a politician. These guys are gutting $480 billion dollars from your insurance over the next ten years to pay for insurance for people that didn’t want to buy it in the first place because paying into a broken health care system just continues the corruption and greed created by a for profit health care system. Call a broker that will go over all of your options, explain the plans an how claims are paid, and do a thorough review based on your needs.
