Question : Contact Lens?
Ok so im thinking of getting contact lens this month, im 14
do u guys know any good brands, any cheap but good brands
do u have to get ur contacts from ur eye doctor?? or can u buy them from some other store if you know d prescription #.
&& im not planning to get colored contacts.
Any tips on how to put&remove ur contacts??

i don’t wear contacts but I saw an eye doctor giving a patient a contact lens box with lenses in it to a patient and showing them how to use it, get it form you eye care clinic i guess

The good ones are the ones that suit *your* eyes…
There isn’t simply a “best ” brand.They absolutely need to be fitted…
Pupil size, corneal curvature, type and quantity of tears, thickness and position of eyelids, likely wearing pattern…
They can all affect the “best lens ” choice.And with a contact lens Rx, **the brand is part of the prescription**.
The same numbers on a different brand lens can fit considerably differently, even though often people can get away with doing that… It’s a gamble.
It does not compare to getting a spectacle Rx and then trying to find frames you like.Handling is best taught person to person.
Sorry if that comes across a bit strict, but I’ve seen too many people trying to cut corners on time or money, and too often had to try and sort out the eye infections and other problems that can result.

i got contacts a few months ago and i think that acuvue is a pretty good brand
your eye doctor gives you a sample lens to see if you do well with them and then you come back in 1-2 weeks for a follow-up
if you dont want to buy them from your eye doctor you can order them online with a prescriptionmake sure you wash your hands and try them off with something that is lint free because its very uncomfortable not to know that you have lint in your eyes
and make sure to disinfect them well (i use opti-free replenish) because my eyes got really red once and i couldnt wear my contacts for a couple days -

I’ve been wearing contacts for 2 yrs now, and I’ve always used Acuvue, first Daily now Fortnights ones. Contacts are not cheap, but the fortnights ones are cheaper than those discardable.
The first times it can be terribly awkward to put and remove. Personally, I prefer not looking directly to the lens I’m putting and holding only the down lid away. To remove, I find it easier when the fingers are dry, and I “pick” the lens from the eye (instead of moving it to the side of the eye and then taking it out).
When you try it, you’ll get the best way for yourself. And don’t demoralize: the first day it took me 15 mins each to remove them!

For your age, you should probably get Focus Dailies for convenience but if your concerned about price the Acuvue Advanced or Acuvue 2 or O2 Optix are probably some of the least expensive contact lenses. Those 3 that i mentioned are 2wk lenses so you will have to maintain them.
The opticians and doctor at the office will not let you take a contact lens Rx home until you are able to put in and take out your contacts in front of them – so they will show you everything.
The Rx is just like a medication Rx. It has an expiration date and no one will sell you contacts without it – just like no one will give you medications without a Rx.
