According to the government Chinese children are becoming super-sized, prompting concerns that it could lead to an obesity epdiemic. Al Jazeera’s Melissa Chan went to one fat camp in Tianjin to see how overweight kids are trying to burn off the pounds.

on one side of the road: fat camp, where children are sent to lose weight. on the other side, sumo camp, where the sumo prodigies are taught proper diet for their sport. if a child fails at either of them, it is simply send across the road!

I understand that food is a way to comfort people who are depressed or worried. Hell, some people become over weight because of their parents over embellishing them with food. But this is a serious problem! When I was in middle school I saw maybe 5 or 6 overweight kids in the halls. Now when I went to pick up my younger brother literally more than half the kids were huge! This NEEDS TO STOP!
