Yes and no, in general yes they are safe when used properly. However, some medications can have an effect on your skin that would make it very unwise to get a chemical peel or other cosmetic procedures. Some skin tones should use them with a little extra caution (but I can’t remember if it’s light or dark). You’re best bet if you have concerns is to speak with a dermatologist or a GOOD esthsthian (yeah my spelling sucks and spell check is no help).

If you have oily skin yes but no more than one every 2 to 3 months.
If you want to do a peel I would start off with a soft salicilic peel.
if you have sensative skin STAY AWAY from all peels. there are other things that you can do to fix the problems on your face.it takes time do not trust any thing that says it will clear up your skin in less than six weeks it takws atleast that to know if something is working for your skin. Elizabeth is right you should talk to a dermatoligest or a Master Esthetician in your area. If you have dark skin you need to be carful and not do a peel on your own it can result in getting hypopigmentation where you loose the color in your skin.
