Why I can not find the Clear Care cleaning solution for contact lenses by Ciba Vision. ?

It has NOT been discontinued and there have been no studies saying that it isn’t an effective cleaner/disinfectant. What really happened is that there was a protocol violation at Ciba’s only manufacturing plant. Nothing was contaminated, but Ciba shut down the plant to get everything back the way it was supposed to be. 3 or 4 weeks ago they resumed production of Clear Care and shipped the product to their distribution center in Kansas. Before any of the product could be distibuted, a tornado hit the facility. Ciba can only manufacture one product at a time (Clear Care is first on the list), so it will take a little time for it to get back on the shelves – but it IS coming back!! If you’re out of solution, call your eye doctor to find out which one you should use in the meantime.
