I began to oil my scalp with virgin olive oil. Before I wash my hair, I de-scale my scalp, then I wash my hair, then I oil my scalp with VOO using a color applicator bottle, and massage it in for 5 minutes. I oil my scalp also between wash days every night (I wash hair every 3 days) I also switch out the oil I use every month. I have 4 oils I use in my routine. VOO, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, and Shea butter – so my scalp does not get immune. I have not had Psoriasis for over 1 year now.

Psoriatic Arthritis & Psoriasis are so miss understood, i also have patches of Psoriasis on my scalp, i also deal with it in the same manner as the specialist deals with Maria’s, it always feel so much better afterwards. I also have chronic Psoriatic Arthritis, i must point out that anyone who starts getting pain in their joints who has Psoriasis should talk to a doctor straight away, the earlyer it’s caught the better, only those who suffer from Psoriasis will get this form of arthritis

@sousadude30 I used barbie pens in college to de-scale my scalp – no joke. I used the big ones. I would rub the rounded end all thoughout my scalp; it worked well to remove the dead skin w/o making me bleed. Then I shampooed w/ natural shampoo. If you’re seeing a Dr., use whatever tool they give you to remove the scales. My Dr. perscribed DermaSmooth. Also, oil & massage you scalp for 5 minuets everyday b/w washes. You don’t need alot, just enought to cove the scalp; it must not be left bear.

I hate how the poor girl is made to feel like it’s her fault that she has the condition by her classmates. Kids can be horribly cruel. Maybe one day, one of them gets this condition, and they’ll know what it’s like and treat her with a bit more respect for what she’s going through, that’s gotta be SO painful, but ahhhh… when she ran the comb through her hair and pulled all of the gunk off of her scalp, I got a sudden chill of relief for her.
