Do you have the teeth must be straight, get Lumineers?
I do not have strong teeth crocked.Meine top right lateral incisor is behind my top right canine middle Schneidezahn.Meine behind my latreal Schneidezahn.-my two lower lateral incisors are behind my mid-Schneidezahn. I have an overbite, but no heavy.
You should seriously think about what your goals are before going for lumineers.
Lumineers claim to fame is “injection free restoration, painless, etc) So if you are gettin veneers for esthethic purposes and that teh main reason think twice about lumineers. The reason I say this is that lumineers caters to fears, but the results are not very esthethic. That is many people dont like the results. One of the issues with lumioneers is that if no prep is done you teeth are going to be bulge out and poeeisbly make you look bucked tooth to other, also if you look any many of there b4 and after where they claim no preparation was done, they never show the gum line, or they wont show a close up, bc they stand out around the gum line.
Veneers can correct mild crowding , and this includes lumineers, but always think about what your goasl are if your looking for aesthics, then consider other venners as well and dont be fooled by the lumineer claims, Cosmetic work for it to look go will require the tooth to be prepared,
Also consider braces too. You will probably spens a lot less with braces, and this wont involve cutting all you teeth. I do a lot of cosmetic work in my office and before I do any tihng I have them think about all the options and consequences, if they have any doubts I will not start any treatment, if they understand it all then I have I proceed.
The reason I mentioned braces is if you have mild crowding you wont be wearing them very long and you wont have to chopp any teeth, if you looking for re shaping them then you will need veneers, but for just getting straight teeth braces may be the better option. Here is why:
You should be thinking long term. Are you prepare to have veneers made every 2 to 5 years? Since venners have a life span of 2 to 5 years, and to maintain esthethic they should be redone so they all match in colour and style. Are you prepared to have your teeth capped in the future if the veneers keep popping off? Are you prepared to have root canal done if there ever is a point where after several replacements the nerve is aggravated?
thats just some things you should think about. If you okay with then go ahead and have the veneers done. Lumineers is a trade name for a specifice companies veneer, but dont let their marketing fool you, there are a lot of veneers that are a lot nicer and better ask your dentist about other types of veneers if you go that route.
