CBS newsman shares wife’s battle with Alzheimer’s
DENVER — Alzheimer’s disease is the longest goodbye. Just ask Barry Petersen. Since 2005, he has dealt with the fading faculties of his wife, Jan, who was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s when she was 55. She has spent the past two years in an assisted living facility in Denver.
