If you are using this as directed it can either be your skin is not tolerant of the ingredients in this OR you could be having this exfoliate (loosen skin cells to remove the old dead ones and renew skin) to form the new cells to help heal up the scar . If they have a website I’d go there and check this to see if that is typical. Maybe they have some faq’s section that can help to find out if this is common.
