If a skilled nursing home for the elderly says it’s time to call hospice, what they think in terms of Tim are?
Is hospice only for people who have left less than a certain time to come? My father-in show is the starting point for large memory problems, (short-term esp.) Heart failure and is always fast and tired, sleeps a lot and slightly awkward, but you can give me a time frame that would fit in hospice? # Months, 6 mos, 3, 1?
I don’t know of a specific time for calling hospice, honestly know one can say for sure how long someone has left to live, you may be able to say with relative certainty that someone can only survive a few hours or days at the most in their current state, but hospice is usually called when it is determined that the condition is irreversable and terminal. It begins the process of applying comfort measures over corrective measures. Hope this helps.
