I have scoliosis, what things can help with posture and back pain?

Bracing is effective only if you are still growing so that’s not going to help treat the curve. You wouldn’t want to wear one now because your back would start to depend on the support that the brace provides and your muscles would get weak.
Walking, swimming, pilates, yoga, stretching, and a heating pad are all good. The last tries to make your back relax and feel better while the others are exercises that strengthen your muscles. Strengthening your muscles is supposed to reduce your back pain. Icy Gel didn’t work for me and neither did hot cream or gel. A hot shower or soak in the tub didn’t work too well either, but a message was heavenly when it pushed my spine in an upward direction (which had a very temporary effect of reducing my curve).
