First aid courses for toddler care?
My son is more reckless than the average toddler. At 17 months he can scale pretty much any piece of furniture in the house, his latest thing is to dive off the couch with his hands extended to try to do a handstand/flip. We have tile, he’s already hit his head once, but that didn’t deter him.
Our pediatrician says that he’s seen children like my son before and he’s likely to have a broken bone or two in his youth. I’d like to try to take some first aid courses just in case, so I can do necessary things while waiting for an ambulance. And of course I’d hope to be able to help him so that an ambulance wouldn’t be necessary.
Any suggestion on what kind of course to take/ where to find one. I know I want to take CPR but I’d also like something broader than that.
Well, CPR/First Aid class is what you should take. I took this class and it does offer a lot of good information I think if call your local hospital or if your son goes to daycare ask them, they will be able to tell you when/where to take it.
Good Luck.
