Boy is this category depressing tonight!!!
It’s all about fear,violence,mental ability loss,
forgetfulness and a general despondency.
How about us Seniors that are still in love
with life? and still want to make others laugh? And who shake people out of their doldrums? And who just plain decide NOT to grow old (I hate that word, the youngers use it like a whip.)
Lighten up folks and have a happy, (week-end,life, romance,maybe even a nice
meal would be good.)

I believe its Alzheimer’s other effects that kill, just as AIDS other illnesses do. Nonetheless, that is scary. I DO NOT want to inflict that illness on myself or on my family, but am not in control of whether or not I go out that way.

Yes we learned that in nursing assistant school. I work in a nursing home and we deal with it everyday.

I just heard that yesterday. It sure is a crappy way to die too. The last few months of my mom’s life was horrible, she thought people were trying to kill her.

I was under the assumption that people stricken with Alzheimer’s die from something not related to Alzheimer’s Disease, itself. (kidney failure, etc.)
