Dexter Morgan, who else thinks the TV show has Asperger disorder?
I am 100% sure that it is based around someone with him. Each episode is more and more clear, his demeanor, he is thinking, he told me so much, he either has aspegers or I’m a psychopath, but this is impossible, because my doc said his aspegers, he must have because in aspegers not a psychopath, and psychopathy or perhaps Asperger’s have very very similar? What do you think?
I’ve noticed that too, but there are a lot of noticeable differences:
He seems very adapt in social situations and follows all of the cues, makes eye contact, his motor skills are perfect, he can blend in with society without being noticed by an expert, he has no remorse for murder (I can’t kill a spider without feeling guilt), he can relate to others and have a conversation without mistakes or awkwardness or stuttering. The list goes on. If he is on the spectrum then he would probably have PDD-NOS (a.k.a. Atypical Autism) since he has some traits and not others.
Due to his childhood trauma he is a sociopath, which can look the same up front to the untrained eye, but on a psychological level they are different. Dexter isn’t the average sociopath due to some of his behavior, his lack of impulse and anger fits, he’s nothing more than a hollywood psychopath if one goes by those symptoms.
