Well I used to have a seizure disorder and I don’t know if it’s different in every state but in Michigan I had to be seizure free I think it was 6 months before the State of Michigan let me drive. I also had to prove that I was seizure free by a doctors note. Also you have to prove you are on a medication to stop the seizures. Hope that helps..here I just found this website check it out…
http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/rights_driving.html
Read that site and then go down and it has a link to the actual Illinois DMV website, you need to turn off your pop up blocker for a minute to let that site come up..I just read it, it’s really imformative. -

All states have laws about driving and epilepsy usually about 1-2 years after the spell
If that person has an accident. There is no defense -even though it is not that person’s fault.
If that person has spells or does not take medication regular then NO DRIVING as the public has to be protected
When they renew the license. There is a question about driving and epilepsy. If it is answered incorrectly it may be a felony in some states
If he/she is compliant with medications and the spell is controlled and the brain wave is good then there is no problem in driving -

HI there
Not as far as I know, they have to be free of any seizures for a minimum period of time which I believe to be two years or so before they will be allowed to drive.
