Pedantry necessitates that the language is useless to the point at issue. You must point out the information that is useless to the argument I am making, or the information that has no purpose in a rebuttal. If the information is not useless, it is not pedantic regardless of how it is phrased. Obfuscation is a deliberate attempt to conceal from the author using ambiguous language. It also is subjective because what is not clear to one person is not necessarily ambiguous to everyone.

@soxfan3688 yet you continously fail to see
the “facts” you’ve pointed out are full of holes!
ECT is dangerous, hence its regulated
heavily, hence the low percentage
of use with very miniminal benefit.I’m afraid it isn’t I who needs to recheck
who is saying what to whom. Boy, you
need to take your med’s, go see your
psych for history lessons on where
psychotherapy originated and get some –
it might work for u! -

@soxfan3688 – It’s really interesting to
note how you’re so quick to point out the
english grammatical terms of use and
definition ad nausea but deign the same
need be used for psychiatric terms. It simply aint cricket man …
Tell you what … I’ll eat crow and recant all my
claims if you can define for me some
simple terms in psychiatric talk. How’s that for you? - Comment Feed for this Post

What psychiatry and psychology are quite proficient at is obfuscatory subterfuge via their pedantic verbiage.
