Somers said people in nursing homes are in wheelchairs with their mouths open because they are “on something.” How idiotic. My Father was in a nursing home. he had Parkinson’s dementia similar to Alzheimer’s disease. People like this are not all ” on something.” many have diseases such as Alzheimers, many are crippled. or paralyzed. No hormone cures this. . saying no one has to be in a nursing home due to hormone treatment is ridiculous.

Yes I believe that bioidentical HRT could possibly keep people out of nursing homes and I am speaking as a nurse (RN). Many people, especially older woman have crippling osteoporosis and arthritis sue to decreased bone density as they age. Bioidentical HRT will prevent bone loss from occurring as estrogen promotes bone absorption and bone building. This is just one example…..
Go Susan, I read her books all the time! She has done her homework! -

Yes, I finally went to my dr. and asked for it and I started last week. I am determined to get sex drive back and get rid of pain in my joints and wants to loose weight. I have been going to gym for over two years and can’t loose weight. Watching Oprah I am my own advocate now. I was in perimanapause for last 10 years but none of my doctors listened until I saw suzanne sommer, dr. christine northrup – my goal for 2009 was to fix my stuff. I am sure I am on right path. thanks

bioidentical hormones won’t keep *anybody* out of a nursing home
its the torture nobody talks about
unless you’re able to die at home, you’ll die in a hospital by fast trauma or a slow deterioration at a palliative or nursing unit
period: when the money runs out, you’re fuckedbut heaven forbid we allow people to choose their manner of death. nope! drug ‘em up & let ‘em die gasping or screaming… nobody cares because nobody is witness
