Bad for the Economy, Good for Network Marketing: Why MLM Is Recession-Proof
0Why do you think that MLM is a recession proof business? The current economic meltdown is now officially recognized to be second only to the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Auto industry heavyweights and financial services giants have all spent the better part of the past 15 months scurrying to the White House for bailouts. At the moment, everyone is cautious in proclaiming that the worst is over.
But if you’re a network marketer or industry watcher, you know that the story over here is much different. Most companies in this industry have been reporting record growths in all aspects of their business—revenues, business expansions, profits, product lines, and, most importantly, registration of new members.
Xango, a network marketing company in its 6th year of operation recently announced that they have just recruited their one millionth distributor.
Avon also has cheery news to share despite the tough economic climate. The company hasn’t particularly been seeing massive growths in recent years, which is understandable for a billion-dollar company.
Yet, even Avon recently reported appreciable growth in key areas: 15% growth in sales of beauty products; the number of active representatives increased by 5%; operating profit went up by 33%.
Pre-Paid Legal Services, another network marketing company is set to record its 16th consecutive year of membership revenue growth!
The bottom line is that network marketing and the economy are no fair weather friends. bad for the economy and good for network marketing, how to succeed with mlm in a bad economy, mlm can and do thrive under any economy—good or bad. For, even when all is well with the economy, there are always people who want a little extra income or more time to spend with their families. Network marketing helps them achieve these goals.
And when the economy is bad, the reasons become even more compelling. What happens is that when the economy is bad, persons who under normal circumstances would not look at an opportunity suddenly become favorably disposed to the idea.
This is why many MLM analysts are of the opinion that a bad economy is in fact the best time to grow a network marketing business. The reason being, that as people lose their jobs and struggle financially, they begin to look for ways to solve their financial challenges.
So if you’re a network marketer, the current economic crises actually presents a tremendous business opportunity to you.
Another reason why network marketing thrives in bad economy is that the business does not require a huge amount of money in capital to start. Any average person who is adequately motivated can start their own network opportunity with relatively small amount of personal cash.
This is no doubt a major reason why majority of those starting out in this business are low to average income earners. Of course, many end up achieving results way beyond their initial goal of simply earning extra change to get by in the absence of a regular job. Which also leads us, to the third and most important reason.
Network marketing has a great potential to make one rich. This is true even during recessions. MLM (i. e. Network Marketing) is one of very few businesses you can start during a recession and watch it blossom into a money-spinning enterprise in a short time.
That is why Robert Kiyosaki (of the Rich Dad – Poor Dad fame) and Donald Trump recognize Multi-Level Marketing as one of the surest ways an average Joe can build real wealth.
In all, we are saying that recession causes people to open their minds to alternative sources of income. Those who have jobs worry about losing it. So they accept another source of supplementary income, just in case.
Those who are out of job are frantically searching for ways to start some business that does not require them to give an arm and a leg (financially speaking). Both will discover that network marketing is their best alternative.
Of course, no representation of instant wealth in network marketing is intended here. Seldom does success come without hard work, commitment, and consistency. And with a lot of patience too. But that is a discussion for another day.
The point here is that even during dire economic conditions, some industries manage to do well. Network marketing happens to be one of these few.

Qivana, Would an Intelligent Person Join?
0What is Qivana? What should you know before you join Qivana? Would an intelligent person even think about joining Qivana? You may already be involved in Qivana or you maybe you are shopping around for an MLM company to join. You are likely nervous and anxious because, let’s face it, MLM’s or Network Marketing companies in general have over the years gotten some bad PR. Each one is different, but there are three criteria that basically separate the good, the bad, and the ugly. The three things that you have to investigate fully before joining Qivana or any other MLM. are the leaders of the company, the products, and the compensation plan. This will allow you to make an informed decision. Professional leadership by qualifed corporate officers is a must. The products of the company must be unique and offer proven value. The compensation plan must be one that will allow new business owners to start making money quickly. Here is a summary of the leadership, the products and the compensation plan of Qivana. You can also find more information at this Qivana Review website. #1 The Leadership in QivanaQivana’s management team reads like a who’s who of industry veterans and boasts over 70 years of combined experience. The executives are Derek Hall (Cheif Executive Officer), Craig Johanson (Chief Marketing Officer), Devin Glazier (Chief Financial Officer), Justin Banner (Chief Strategy Officer), and Rodney James (Chief Sales Officer). Their experience includes executives posts in such well known companies as Nature’s Way, XanGo, Tahitian Noni International, McKesson Drug Corporation, Botanicals International, Unigen, NuSkin and more. This background of managing billion dollar companies and startup companies makes them keenly aware of what it takes to launch, grow, and manage a top-tier network marketing company. The first criteria of strong, professional and experienced leadership is meet by Qivana. #2 The ProductsQivana launched with the Qivana Qore System which is made up of three flagship products. The purpose of these three natural nutritional products is to stabilize, vitalize, and optimize. The Qivana Qore Probiotic is to stabilize the body. Research shows that probiotics promote healthy digestion and nutrient absorpiton, strengthen the immune defenses and inhibit the adhesion and invasion of pathogenic bacteria onto intestinal cells. After stabilization the next product is the Qivana Qore Essentials to vitalize the body. It is a proprietary blend of herbs which includes the Crown Herb, Chinese skullcap, and white Korean ginseng. According to Dr. Marcuc Laux, the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board, these herbs have an extensively documented history and have had their effectiveness validated in well over 1000 recent scientific papers to support healthy cardiovascular function, to increase energy and protect against stress, to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels within a normal range and to support healthy liver, immune and cellular functions. The third product is the Qivana Qore Detox, the optimizer. It has been said that In order to optimize the body’s performance, it’s necessary to routinely rid it of heavy metals. Qivana Qore Detox contains Puratox, an exclusive, scientifically validated blend of natural ingredients that can rid your blood, cells, and tissues of heavy metals, free radicals,and toxins without depleting essential minerals.
For complete product information go to this Qivana Website. Qivana offers three powerful scientifically validated products whose benefits complement each other and work synergistically to promote health and wellness. The products are indeed unique and it seems probable that they offer proven value. So Qivana passes test #2. #3 Qivana – The Compensation PlanQivana’s compensation plan is based on a binary hybrid that offers new members several ways to become profitable quickly. In Qivana, there are six ways to produce income. These six ways are Retail Commisions, Quickstart Bonus, Builder Bonus, Silver2 Bonus, Team Commissions, and the Executive Matching Bonus. Qivana meets the third criteria by offering a number of ways for new and existing Qivana business owners to become profitable quickly. So, going back to original question, “Would an intelligent person join Qivana?”, I have demonstrated, I believe, that the answer is yes. My final thoughts are that anyone who is considering joining or starting a new business should do his or her due diligence so that they can make an intelligent, informed decision.

Heart Diseases and Disorders
0Millions of people experience irregular heartbeats at some point in their lives. Most of these episodes, called arrhythmias, are harmless and happen in healthy people free of heart disease. Sometimes, however, rhythm disturbances can be serious or even fatal. Other heart diseasescan be dangerous in their own right and can increase the likelihood of arrhythmias. ElectricalArrhythmias that originate in the heart’s upper chambers, the atria Atrial Fibrillation (AF or A Fib) More than 2 million people in the United States have atrial fibrillation, making it a very common heart rhythm disorder. In A Fib, the heartbeat is irregular and rapid, sometimes beating as often as 300 times a minute, about four times faster than normal. Although it isn’t life threatening, A Fib can lead to other rhythm problems, chronic fatigue and congestive heart failure. Chances of having a stroke are five times higher for those with A Fib. Atrial Flutter (AFL)Atrial flutter is similar to A Fib because it too is characterized by a rapid heartbeat. Instead of many disorganized signals, however, AFL is caused by a single electrical wave that circulates very rapidly in the atrium, about 300 times a minute, leading to a very fast, steady heartbeat. Sick Sinus Syndrome (SSS)SSS is not a specific disease, but a group of signs or symptoms that indicate the heart’s natural electrical pacemaker, the sinoatrial node, is not functioning properly. In SSS, the heart rate can switch back and forth between a slow rate (bradycardia) and a fast rate (tachycardia). A permanent pacemaker, sometimes in combination with medication, is the primary treatment. Sinus TachycardiaA harmless rhythm, sinus tachycardia is a normal increase in heart rate that happens with fever, excitement and exercise. It does not require treatment problem, such as anemia or hyperthyroidism, should be treated. Arrhythmias that originate in the heart’s lower chambers, the ventriclesVentricular Tachycardia (VT)Characterized by a very fast heart rate, VT usually is seen in the setting of other serious heart disease. Occasionally, it occurs in people with normal hearts. It usually requires prompt treatment, sometimes with medication. Sometimes it is treated with radiofrequency ablation or surgery. Often people with VT are protected by implantation of a defibrillator. Because VT can lead to ventricular fibrillation (next item) it is considered a serious condition that warrants aggressive monitoring and treatment. Ventricular Fibrillation (VF)Sudden cardiac death, caused by ventricular fibrillation, poses the greatest threat and accounts for half of all cardiac deaths. In VF, the heartbeat is rapid and chaotic, which causes the lower heart chambers, or ventricles, to go into a spasm. Sometimes, however, a heart attack can lead to VF. VF is abrupt and happens without any warning and it halts all heart functioning. The lack of oxygen throughout the body, and especially to the brain, is deadly. Also known as cardiac arrest, sudden cardiac death is due to an electrical circuitry problem. It is not a the same as a heart attack, or myocardial infarction, which is a circulatory problem caused by clogged blood vessels that cut off the supply of blood to the heart. Although CPR can provide some benefit, the only truly effective VF treatment is defibrillation, which relies on paddles or electrodes to “shock” the heart back to normal rhythm. Without treatment, loss of consciousness comes in seconds, and death is inevitable. OtherPremature ContractionsExtra, early or “skipped” beats are the most frequent cause of irregular heart rhythms. These can start in the upper or lower chambers of the heart. Long QT Syndrome (LQTS)Long QT Syndrome is a disorder of the electrical system. It can be inherited, acquired after taking certain medications, or caused by a combination of heredity and medications. People with LQTS are susceptible to ventricular fibrillation. Heart BlockWhen electrical impulses generated in the upper chambers of the heart are not properly transmitted to the lower chambers, Heart Block happens. The heart then beats too slowly, reducing the oxygen that gets to the body and brain. Syncope (Fainting)Fainting, or feeling as if one might faint, can be caused by serious heart rhythm disorders and needs to be evaluated carefully. Sometimes the cause is not heart related, for instance when low blood sugar is to blame, but still can be dangerous. No matter what the cause, fainting can be
dangerous simply because of the potential for injuries from falling. Article By http://heart-improve. blogspot. com

Cathy Berberian: Xango
15
Here is a famous song (written by Heitor Villa-Lobos) performed in a Yma Sumac-ish manner by the great avant-garde opera singer Cathy Berberian. Cathy Berberian (Attleboro, Massachusetts, 1925 – Rome, Italy, 1983) was a composer, mezzo-soprano singer, and vocalist. From 1950 to 1966 she was married to composer Luciano Berio, who deconstructed her voice in “Thema (Omaggio a Joyce)” (1958) and wrote his “Circles” (1960) and “Recital I (for Cathy)” (1972) for her. In addition Sylvano Bussotti, John Cage, Hans Werner Henze and Igor Stravinsky wrote works for her voice. She interpreted contemporary avant-garde music, Armenian folk songs, Monteverdi, The Beatles, and her own compositions. Her best known work is her “Stripsody” (1966), in which she exploits her vocal technique using comic book sounds. Enjoy!
Liposuction Surgeon Qualifications
0Who Is Qualified to Perform Liposuction?
You would not select an auto mechanic to perform root canal. Similarly, you should not jeopardize the outcome of your procedure, or your well being, by choosing anyone less than the most qualified plastic surgeon.
While many states allow any licensed physician to perform cosmetic surgery, that does not mean all physicians are competent to do so. In some states, even dentists are lobbying to perform cosmetic procedures. Because liposuction is major surgery, you should place your life in the hands of the most qualified and skilled plastic surgeon. You should also choose a surgeon who will show you solid “Before and After” examples of his or her work, and whose artistic sense is in sync with the results that you are seeking.
In choosing a surgeon to perform liposuction, you should first choose one who has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS): This assures that surgeon has endured the most rigorous training possible, including three to five years of training in general surgery and two years of training in plastic surgery. Beware of those physicians who claim to be “board certified” cosmetic surgeons. This may mean that they have taken a brief weekend course in a procedure, but does not guarantee the competence that the American Board of Plastic Surgery ensures. Ideally, you will choose a surgeon who has extensive surgery experience, not only experience in plastic surgery in general. Liposuction, like sculpturing, is an art that is learned through experience, but can only be perfected by the plastic surgeon who has an eye and feel for body proportions and contour. This ultimate expert in liposuction can perceive your body contours and the thickness of fat just by feel. In essence, you should choose a physician who is also a sculptor.
In a “Practice Advisory on Liposuction- Executive Summary” published on March 15, 2003, The American Society of Plastic Surgery states the following regarding Training and Qualifications for liposuction:
Physicians performing liposuction must be trained as surgeons. A surgeon’s scope of practice is defined by one of the 10 surgical boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS);
Surgeons performing procedures outside of his/her area of training, defined by the surgeon’s specialty, must obtain additional education, certification and experience. The ABMS surgeon must have body contouring training as well as operate in his/her area of anatomic expertise. The physician who performs liposuction in any surgical setting must meet all of the following minimal formal training requirements:
Basic Education: M. D. or D. O.
Be qualified for examination or be certified by a surgical board recognized by the ABMS: and
i. Complete training in body contouring during an accredited residency or fellowship; or
ii. Complete an eight-hour liposuction/body contouring training course approved for Category I CME credit with at least three hours of hands-on bio-skills cadaver training and a comprehensive instructional program on fluid replacement. Observation by a proctor with liposuction privileges for the first three clinical procedures is recommended.
Operate within his/her area of training and area of anatomic expertise, which is defined by his/her ABMS Surgical Specialty Board.
A physician should have the primary responsibility for providing and/or supervising anesthesia. A physician should order all anesthesias. Anesthetics may be administered by a qualified physician, a CRNA under physician supervision, or by another qualified health care provider under the supervision of a qualified physician as required by law. The responsible physician must be physically present in the operating room throughout the conduct of the anesthetic.
In Addition to Education, Training, and Experience, What Should You Seek in a Plastic Surgeon?
A plastic surgeon should be nonjudgmental – accepting the patient “as is” and with sensitivity toward the patient’s concerns. At the same time, you should seek a surgeon who will project realistic results, and not make false promises. Your expectations, and what the surgeon can achieve for you, should mesh.
What Are the Preferred Facilities?
There been incidents when liposuction deaths or mishaps occurred when patients had liposuction performed in garages, dentist chairs, or even in doctor’s examination rooms. You should pay special attention to the facility where the plastic surgeon operates. To be safe, the surgery must be performed at an accredited ambulatory surgery center, or at a hospital, and the surgeon should have privileges to perform liposuction at that hospital, wherever the surgery takes place. If it takes place at a freestanding ambulatory facility, consider the following:
It is certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) or;
It is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) or;
It is certified by Medicare or;
It is certified by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and;
The facility has a transfer agreement with a local hospital.
To investigate the status of local physicians, visit www. medbd. ca. gov/lookup. htm
You should also discuss who the plastic surgeon employs to administer anesthesia during this procedure, as your life depends on his or her skills, as well as those of your surgeon. While many surgeons use nurse-trained anesthetists, you should choose one who employs a physician who is trained in the specialty of anesthesiology. A physician is the most skilled and qualified to administer anesthesia safely, and to address any complications that may arise.

New mlm Companies that are truly successful
0Can new mlm company products be successful in the home based business trade, and in the retail market? What kind of product with regards to a new mlm company should you be looking at as far as the best?There are growth trends, which are easily being copied in the network marketing industry. Starting with many nutritional products which are readily available at the local grocery or extensive warehouse store. So what kind of product can withstand the test of time? Which can prove to be successful over a long period of time, since many companies undergo only a limited amount of development after the preliminary spurt, which dies down after the pre-launches. Well, first doing the needed due diligence will assure you of a good product that will not be too easily copied and can be reasonable enough that people can buy. Product sales are always a good wayto make up front cash in your business. You also need to make sure, in your due diligence, that you have a legitimate product, which is legal and unique to its industry. Make sure to find out who thearchitect of the product is, and determine what reputation they have had with other products and find whether it is a product that is on a growth trend, such as green products. New mlm companies usually do well at this today. There are all kinds of new mlm company products to really choose from, ranging from healthiness and nutrition to technology products. Not to bring up all sorts of separate niches popping up from time to time. There are thousands of new mlm companies to really choose from. There’s no telling what the future will hold for these thousand of recent companies, who are faced with fierce struggle from others. Companies that have proved massively booming, such as Monavie and Xango have risen up in recent years to compete with the old time companies like amway and herbalife. So the only for sure way to tell what new mlm companies and products will come out on peak 2 to 5 years from now will be to wait and see. There are yet good points to look at when evaluating where a company might be going. Taking a look at the training and customer support provided. Understanding branding also comes into play here. How the product positions itself in the market and how the image of that product is portrayed will help in the branding process. Also look at the leaders, or distributors of that product. Do they bring experience in the network marketing industry to compete in the industry. That will make a huge difference as to whether they have followers of networkers who are willing to follow the leader of their old company and move to the new mlm company. Lastly, the marketing that you do, along with advertising will make the biggest difference in the long term success of your very own name and brand. That success will go as far as you limit yourself. The new entrepreneur knows that positioning oneself as the expert in his or her industry and proving leadership along with effective training and education in network marketing will go a long way. When one company falls, and you’ve made a error about the right company or team to work with, you will always have your very own name and new mlm company to work with, no matter what company you are a distributor for.
