I have never been on Actos. However I have been taking Metformin for about a period of two years. I take it for Polycycstic Ovary Sydrome. I know that this is a diabetic drug. The first two weeks were the hardest. It was very hard on my stomach. Other than that I think it is a wonderful drug with not too many side effects. If you are getting headaches it might be the metformin causing it. A doctor will be able to determine that for you. I lost about 5 lbs when i first started Metformin. If you dont like Metformin ask your doct to change it for you. Good luck
