Is anyone familiar or their dog had collage injections to help prevent urinary incontinence?
My dog has urinary incontinence due to weakened urinary meatus at the ureter. We were told she could have the collagen injection into this area to plump it up but would only last 12 -15 months. and it doesn’t always work.
Just because of the cost, I would try the PPA or hormones first (they show a higher success rate). Here’s is a link to the complications associated with the injections.
Also, it must be pretty expensive, here is another link to a study which will pay up to $650.00 for the procedure and an additional $100.00 for filling out a questionaire after completion.
