How long do people generally take inhaled steroids like advair for asthma?
Can people stay on Advair indefinitely? How does one stop taking this type of drug? If a person starts having effects from the steroids like I think I am, how do they go off this type of drug if they need it for their asthma?

Advair is a combination of fluticasone which is corticosteroid which prevent the pulmonary inflammation fluticasone is not absorbed into body tissue I mean the corticosteroid side effect is minimal. the other ingredient is salmetrol which is a long acting beta 2 agonist the prevent bronchial spasm.I think this medication is safe and can be used for along time but according to your doctor advice

Until they learn the Buteyko method ! My kid – Severe asthmatic from 2 y.o. to 12 y.o. , prescribed stronger and stronger meds, gradually they did less and less. Learnt buteyko (properly), now asthma free for over 2 years.
