How could a Six Flags trip with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease be managed?
My friend invited me to Six Flags last year. I had diabetes, but not celiac disease, so I am concerned more about it. They usually have dinner in the park, but you bring your own lunch to eat outside the park. So I am ok for lunch but not dinner. I will not be too much of a dispute over this. They do not allow food inside the park. So, what should I do? By the way, I can not eat what on the inside, if they contain gluten. Just to be on the safe side.
Six Flags will allow special diet foods to be brought into the park or at least that is what they put on their web page. My advice is to find out where your friend plans to eat in the park and call ahead and see if they have something on the menu you can eat or if they can make something like a chicken caesar salad(or whatever you like) that would be appropriate. Explain that you have celiac disease and need a gluten free meal.
Have fun!
