Blue Peel / Chemical Skin Peel Procedure
The Obagi Blue Peel is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that helps reverse the appearance of the aging process. The Obagi BLUE PEEL is a one to four step application of blue solution mixed with TCA (Trichloracetic Acid). These applications will lead to the removal of thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin. Layers of dead skin cells exfoliate and are replaced by healthier ones allowing the skin’s own clarity and tightness to resurface. This informative video follows licensed Esthetician Ali through the entire process. Visit www. DrFoley. com for more information. Subscribe to our free podcast on iTunes, Passport to Plastic Surgery. I did the blue peel before. I was recommended to use the obagi products for 6-8 weeks before the peel. I does burn a little during the applying but not a big deal. They gave me Vicodin an hour before and it helped. It takes some of the acne scaring that is more like spots, it really doesnt remove the pitted type scars. I peeled for 8-10 days and looked like a burn victim, kids stared! LOL! its worth it for sure.

My acne was pretty bad, i did a blue peel but it does not take acne away. I had to take accutain to clear up my acne. OMG! was the accutain soooo worth it! I get maybe 1 zit every month or so. They try to scare you about all the side effects of accutain but I handled it well. Just really dry lips and lots of face lotion at night!

Hi Dr. Foley. I recently had an obagi blue peel. My skin looks just like your patient in the before. It is the third day now, i have not started peeling, and my skin is getting tight, and leathery looking. I noticed that her forehead did not peel much either. Is it possible the peel was not applied enough on the forehead? My face was extremely blue all over, evenly, so I just don’t see how some areas are more tight and brown then others. Please kindly respond.
