Go borrow an acupuncture book from the library and read it. Or, possibly consider the fact that acupuncture, which includes this type of bleeding, has been around for hundreds of years and is still used very successfully while blood letting died out in the Enlightenment Era. If acupuncture was indeed the same as the other type of bleeding, it would have been “debunked” as well since it has spread to other countries as well, but it hasn’t.

Its frightening how so many people can be so self righteous, opinionated and narrow minded.
Acupuncture doesnt work?
Western medical science is in fact more flawed than you would otherwise be led to believe. It is primarily motivated by profit. So off course, if something alternative than cant be patented is going to tread on big pharmas toes you either wont hear about it, it gets banned or gets ridiculed. -

with traditional Chinese medicine. its really hard to find the proof western medicine wants because you cannot submit TCM to the western scientific method. in wholistic medicine the doctor understands that each person, no matter how similar symptoms and problem may be to others, has his or her own treatment since everyone is different. So you would have to find a few hundred of the same person at the same time and that’s not possible. if you read a good acupuncture book you will see why.

you may also ask why 140,000 people a year die in the US from the side effects of prescription drugs that most of the time only treat the symptom and not the cause. wow thats the 5th leading causes of death in the U.S. Only around 50 a year in TCM related death in the US and most of the time there is no proof its a direct cause of the treatment. When something lasts not hundreds but thousands of years and now in this day and age is starting to be used internationally you dont need peer reviews.

That bleeding was for a totally different reason with a totally different concept behind it. Also unlike that bleeding, which was totally useless and actually harmful, this type has been shown to work for hundreds of years.
