My heartfelt support and appreciation of Pratchett and Tony Robinson for reading Pratchett’s lecture for Dimbleby annual lecture.
What an inspiration and a call to arms for rationality and compassion. What a denunciation of religiously inspired care and hospice for those who want another choice.
What namby pamby politicians who won’t take the bit between the teeth and allow people to determine their own lives and deaths.
Hmph. Makes me cross. Go Pratchett. Don’t stop in your efforts yet.

I didn’t even have to wait until he started to struggle.
I started crying pretty much right at the beginning of Terry speaking. I truly and deeply love this man, the stories he tells and what he – in my eyes – stands for: Humanity, wisdom, and the power of laughter.
And to know that from all the people in the world *he* has to suffer from Alzheimers simply breaks my heart.
Not that I believe anyone *else* deserves this condition, but noone else I feel that close to has got it…
