Is Bikram Yoga Good During The First 3 Months Of Pregnancy?
I have been going to bikram yoga since 2 months for now.
Now I am 5 weeks pregnant, Can I still continue Bikram yoga in that hot temperature going out of the room as required or should I be doing the same yoga exercises in house in room temperature.
At what stage it is good to start Yoga during pregnancy.
I was not able to get correct information on this.
Did any one do Bikram Yoga durign their first trimester and what are your experiences.

When I got pregnant with my last baby I had just joined a new Gym and I talked to my DR about it and they told me to pay attention to my body and do only what I could handle. I do not know what Bikram Yoga is but I am assuming that it deals with heat. You should just take care of yourself and not OVER do it. Pay attention to your body and don’t get too hot……just use common sense. Congrats. Talk to your Dr…..they can tell you what is best for you.

I have not done Bikram yoga while pregnant, and even the thought of it makes me break out in a sweat. I’m 27 weeks along, and even room temperature and light exercise or easy poses tire me out (but I’m not in the greatest shape to begin with…) I’m sure as you progress, it just will not feel comfortable to you, and the heat may make you feel faint and/or nauseous.
I found this link for you, I hope it helps:http://parents.berkeley.edu/recommend/cl…

I’m a yoga instructor and when pregnant, I would recommend pre-natal yoga. Bikram can be a little harsh on the body when you’re carrying and if you want to continue, make sure you inform your yoga instructor that you’re carrying. She/He will have to modify your poses and make sure you do not twist or lie on your belly.
Also, watch your flexibility. It will increase during this period as there’s a lot of Relaxin in your system. When you get into the poses, make sure you only go where you used to go when you weren’t pregnant, otherwise you might end up pulling a ligament.
I would strongly recommend pre-natal yoga classes. It’ll help look after the circulation to the pelvic bowl as well as your special needs.
